Beyond 60 feet may be lethal but can cause life long injuries of you choose to stand in this area.

The Lightning Guardian is the first gazebo shelter pre-engineered to fully integrate a certified lightning protection system, which is designed specifically for use on golf courses.
The Lightning Guardian is the solution to outpost lightning-protected shelters. We have combined the beauty and elegance of our White Cedar Gazebos with a lightning protection system, which can be UL Certified. Our product is the result of two years of development and a cooperative effort with experts in the areas of lightning protection and golf course safety.
The Lightning Guardian’s protection systems are designed to provide protection for the shelter and its occupants from both the effects of direct and indirect lightning strikes. We have taken into consideration several potential and common lightning hazards such as touch potential, ground surge, side flash and direct lightning strikes. We have put together the highest level of lightning protection available, which complies with the strict installation requirements of Underwriters Laboratories, the National Fire Protection and the Lightning Protection Institute. The Lightning Guardian is eligible for an independent and site specific UL Mater Label Certification.
Properly installing an adequate number of Lightning Guardian golf shelters in remote areas of your course will demonstrate your facility’s commitment to the safety of its members, employees and visitors.
1 Seeking safety in a certified lightning shelter, such as Lightning Guardian, when there is potential for lightning in the immediate area, is highly recommended by insurance companies, educational institutions, the golfing community itself as well as safety organizations such as NFPA, UL and LPI.
2 Distance to safety is key when a storm arises. Placing shelters within sage reach of golfers who are walking as well as riding will minimize the risk of injury.
3 Not only is a direct lightning strike deadly but lightning can also be lethal by traveling below and along the surface of the ground. Certified lightning shelters should have a raised non-conductive floor to protect against indirect lightning strikes.
4 Lightning fatalities receive most of the attention but in fact approximately 70% of survivors will sustain long term medical expenses due to memory deficits, numbness, sleep disturbances, confusion or overall loss of strength.

White Cedar can be left to weather naturally to become a soft silvery-gray patina making it low maintenance.
The Lightning Guardian was created by joining the natural beauty of the White Cedar Gazebos with a state of the art lightning protection system. Built in Maine our shelters are designed to withstand some of the most sever weather conditions in the country.

Our signature 8- sided gazebo, with a cupola style second roof and a screened top ring vent will provide excellent ventilation.

Eight Sided Oval Style
Our beautiful 8- sided oval design has a perfectly proportioned Second roof and top ring vent for added ventilation. By elongating two walls this shape is ideal for longer benches to accommodate a maximum number of people.
